HSJ Awards 2013 open for entries - entry deadline 31 May 2013


  • The HSJ Awards are back for 2013, after a record breaking year in 2012 with over 1000 entries and 120 individual organisations shortlisted.

    The HSJ Awards exist to demonstrate how - even in the most difficult times - the NHS can deliver effective change and improved patient outcomes.

    The awards also serve to recognise, promote and reward healthcare's finest achievements to an audience of its most influential leaders. Through shining a spotlight on cutting-edge innovations and best practice, the awards give impetus to improving the quality of health care in the UK.

    There are 21 categories to choose from, including five new categories for 2013, these are:

    • Acute Sector Innovation

    • Board Leadership

    • Creating NHS Sustainable Providers

    • Primary Care Innovation

    • Improving Environmental and Social Sustainability
  • The awards cover the full spectrum of care and reflect the new shape of the NHS. As they enter their 32nd year, I am proud to say that winning an HSJ Award remains one of the most sought after accolades in British healthcare.
