This category aims to recognise and reward organisations that have successfully implemented the quality, innovation, productivity and prevention challenge - focussing cash and other resources on maximising the quality of healthcare while releasing savings.

Judges will be looking for:

  • Evidence of supporting and promoting innovations in clinical practice
  • Evidence that clinical pathways have been developed that improve effectiveness and enhance the patient experience as well as providing value for money 
  • Clinicians have been at the centre - including taking responsibility for releasing savings 
  • Evidence of discussions/research with patients to formulate plans 
  • Evidence of improved productivity and elimination of waste 
  • Evidence of identifying efficiency savings 
  • Evidence of clinical quality and improvements 
  • Focus on value for money: ensuring each pound spent maximises the quality of healthcare and patient experience
